Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Santo Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Bianchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Santo Bruce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Bianchi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bianchi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Bruce counters with a straight right hand.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Bruce.
Bianchi on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Bruce is looking to take a break and control but Bianchi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bruce is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bianchi is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bianchi holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Bruce gets a clinch.
Bianchi is pressed up against the cage. Bruce has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bianchi down to the mat. Bianchi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bianchi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bruce but Bruce pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bruce seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Bruce counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bruce.

Bruce looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Bianchi jumps guard and drags Bruce to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bianchi is pulling down on Bruce's head. It's preventing any offense from Bruce, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bruce throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bianchi pulls Bruce in close to prevent any damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bruce postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bianchi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bruce tries to avoid it but Bianchi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bruce to the ground. Bruce escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bianchi is trying to drag Bruce to the mat but Bruce just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Bruce drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bianchi pulls his leg out and moves away.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Bianchi shoots in but no luck this time.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

The crowd cheers as Bruce lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bianchi doesn't seem phased though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bruce, as that shot connected.
Bruce stuffs the takedown attempt from Bianchi. Bianchi gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown attempt by Bianchi or perhaps it was just good defense by Bruce, which made it look bad.
Bruce is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bianchi can do to turn this around?
Bruce throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bianchi tries to counter with a clinch but Bruce shakes him off and moves away.
Bianchi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bruce is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A left lands for Bruce.
Bruce fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bianchi manages to avoid it.
Bruce cracks Bianchi with a good jab.

Bruce is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Bruce jumps guard and drags Bianchi to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Bruce has his foot on Bianchi's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bianchi works his way back into a safe position though.

Bruce isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bianchi stacks Bruce on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bianchi!
Bianchi wants to control but Bruce is keeping him busy.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bruce, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
