Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Mackaye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Perrin GoldenEyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Perrin GoldenEyes!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
GoldenEyes is looking to clinch.
Mackaye throws a right and a left that GoldenEyes avoids nicely.
Mackaye tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but GoldenEyes swivels and escapes.
Mackaye closes this distance looking for a takedown but GoldenEyes circles away.
GoldenEyes with the counter takedown but Mackaye avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mackaye is defended easily by GoldenEyes.
And GoldenEyes tries to counter it with a takedown but Mackaye pushes his down on his head and steps out.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mackaye accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
GoldenEyes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mackaye. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

GoldenEyes wants to stand up but Mackaye is controlling him.

Mackaye has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
GoldenEyes wanted to stand there but Mackaye had control of the position.
Mackaye is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

GoldenEyes takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Mackaye escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
GoldenEyes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mackaye circles away quickly and effectively.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
