Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, George Iverson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Schilling!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Nard Betker and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iverson connects with a jab.
Iverson digs a good hook to Schilling's body.
Iverson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Iverson lands a head shot.
Iverson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
A quick step to the side and Iverson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Iverson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schilling looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Iverson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Iverson throws a nice looking combination but Schilling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Schilling throws a hook but Iverson avoids it easily.
Iverson shoots in looking for a takedown. Schilling tries to sprawl out of it but Iverson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schilling manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Iverson lands a nice looking body shot.
Schilling has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Schilling misses with a straight right.
Iverson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Iverson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Schilling stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Iverson's corner calls for a 1-2. Iverson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and Schilling counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like George Iverson has been cut.

Iverson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

and Schilling counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Iverson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Schilling.

A little jabbing left from Schilling on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

and Schilling counters with a thumping low kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Iverson throws a hook to the side of Schilling's head but Schilling sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Iverson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Schilling looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Schilling takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Schilling counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Iverson tries for a takedown but Schilling sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Iverson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Schilling closes the distance and clinches.
Schilling prevents the takedown attempt.
Schilling working some nice short punches in the clinch.

Schilling unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Iverson! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Schilling is unloading with more strikes now! Iverson drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Schilling!
