PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tim Fraiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Fraiser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andy Wang!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fraiser shoots in looking for a takedown. Wang tries to sprawl out of it but Fraiser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wang manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wang lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Fraiser darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Fraiser is trying to work for a kimura but Wang is defending well.

Fraiser wants to work for an arm triangle but Wang is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fraiser is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Wang defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wang moves into full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fraiser has gone for a leg lock! Wang slips out almost immediately though and dives into Fraiser's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fraiser trying to keep a closed guard but Wang is proving a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wang wants to control from the top but Fraiser keeps moving.

Fraiser has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wang can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fraiser working for submissions but it's allowed Wang to get to half guard.
Fraiser is trying to get back to full guard.

Wang wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fraiser keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fraiser has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Wang escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Wang!
Fraiser wants to control but Wang postures up.
Fraiser is looking for a sweep.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

The fight stays on the outside here - Fraiser looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wang lands a nice hook to Fraiser's body. Fraiser takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Fraiser shoots in for a takedown but Wang shows good takedown defense.
Wang misses with a series of wild punches.
Wang is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Fraiser rather than just go for the knockout.

Tim Fraiser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Wang. No joy for Fraiser on that attempt.

Fraiser takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Fraiser shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wang pinned against the cage. Wang gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Fraiser is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Wang.
Wang just misses with a punch to the body.
Horrible takedown by Fraiser or perhaps it was just good defense by Wang which made him look bad.
Wang lands with a nice body punch.
Fraiser has a takedown stuffed.

Wang dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Fraiser avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wang will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Wang scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Wang throws a shot to the body.
Fraiser tries for a takedown but Wang sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Tim Fraiser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Fraiser throws a low kick, looking for Wang's leg but Wang calmly moves out of range.

Andy Wang comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Wang winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
