Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Paulo Silva enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paulo Silva!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Chuck Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Liddell or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Liddell tries to keep at a distance but Silva has taken the fight into the clinch.
Silva scores a nice knee to the body.
Liddell gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.

Silva gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Liddell keeping moving, preventing Silva from controlling successfully.

Liddell isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Silva stacks Liddell on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Silva!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Liddell's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Silva throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Silva is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Liddell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Liddell is trying to escape the mount.

Liddell manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Silva wants to work for an arm triangle but Liddell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Liddell tries to get to full guard but Silva has control of the leg.

Silva is trying for a kimura here. Liddell looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Silva wins by kimura!
