The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poe misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Poe shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Poe showed some decent athleticism there.
Chavez makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Poe shoots in for a takedown but Chavez shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Poe throws a right and a left that Chavez avoids nicely.
Horrible takedown attempt by Poe or perhaps it was just good defense by Chavez, which made it look bad.

Poe closes the distance and clinches up with Chavez, looking for a takedown. Poe pushes Chavez against the cage but Chavez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Poe is trying to work for a sweep but Chavez has mounted him!

Poe bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Poe wants to get up but he can't break Chavez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Poe.
I think Poe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
