The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Campbell has managed to clinch.

Campbell could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Campbell is looking to stand up but Marcus isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Campbell manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Marcus thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Campbell if he has to take too many more of those.

Marcus closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Marcus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Marcus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Marcus tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Campbell stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Marcus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Campbell's guard.

Marcus scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Campbell manages to mount him!
Campbell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Campbell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Marcus can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Marcus throws a solid leg kick but Campbell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Marcus.
Campbell seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Marcus looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Marcus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
