The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Vandenburg misses

and Bartlett counters with a single leg into guard. Vandenburg didn't expect that.

Vandenburg scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Vandenburg scores with a nice body kick.
Bartlett throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vandenburg's waist but Vandenburg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bartlett off to one side.

Vandenburg darts in and clinches Bartlett up against the cage.

Bartlett breaks from the clinch.

Bartlett closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Vandenburg quickly recovers to half guard.

Vandenburg kicks Bartlett off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bartlett fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Vandenburg! But no joy.
Vandenburg moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Tommy Bartlett has been cut.
Vandenburg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bartlett appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Bartlett is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Vandenburg moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
