Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ranko Vrhovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall's entrance music is Change the World. A fine choice. Bobby Hall is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ranko Vrhovski!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hall looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Hall looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Vrhovski!

Hall is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Vrhovski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Vrhovski wants to control but Hall postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hall jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Vrhovski manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Vrhovski tries a knee to the head but Hall blocks it.
Vrhovski misses with a knee to the head.

Vrhovski throws a head punch that misses.

Hall turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Hall manages to end up in side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vrhovski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hall throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Vrhovski works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Hall sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vrhovski's guard.

Hall moves forwards but Vrhovski connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Hall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Vrhovski tries to clinch but Hall moves out of range.

Vrhovski rushes Hall and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Still in the clinch, Vrhovski scores with a nice short uppercut.

Hall drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vrhovski gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Hall changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Vrhovski fights it off and pushes away nicely.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hall checks a leg kick.

Ranko Vrhovski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Vrhovski counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Vrhovski tries to bum rush Hall with a series of wild strikes but Hall uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hall dives in for a single leg takedown but Vrhovski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A determined Bobby Hall didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
