Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kezz Ron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Ohoro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kezz Ron!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Ohoro!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ohoro shoots in looking for a takedown but Ron manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ohoro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ohoro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ohoro lands in his opponent's guard.
Ron keeping moving, preventing Ohoro from controlling successfully.

Ron is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Ron is trying to control the position but Ohoro postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ron lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ohoro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ron is one step ahead there.

Ohoro pulls Ron in close to his closed guard and prevents Ron from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ron is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Ron won't allow Ohoro to sweep him here.
Ohoro keeping moving, preventing Ron from controlling successfully.
Ron has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Ohoro is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Ohoro throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Ron engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Ohoro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ron is trying to defend but Ohoro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ron is trying to maintain the position but Ohoro is very close to passing his half guard.
Ron makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ron.

Ohoro gets to his feet. Ron looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Ohoro has a takedown stuffed.

Ohoro changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ron looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ron tries to control but Ohoro manages to take his back.
I would not like to be Ron right now.

Ron defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ohoro's arms.
Ohoro controls the position.

Let's hope that Ohoro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Ohoro looking to soften up his opponent with punches.

Ohoro is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ron is defending well though. Ohoro let's go of the attempt for now.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ron manages to escape to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Ohoro dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Ohoro shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ohoro is looking to stall here but Ron recovers full guard.
Ohoro working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Ohoro controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Ron trying to control the position.
Ohoro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ohoro's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Ron looking for a sweep. Not yet Ron, not yet.
Ohoro throws an elbow that misses. Ron uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ohoro's guard. Nice move by Ron!

Michael Ohoro has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ron stopping the sweep attempt from Ohoro.
Ohoro is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ron is controlling him.

Ohoro is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ron drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ohoro looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ohoro looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ohoro!

Ohoro trying to control the position but Ron is working away.
Ohoro remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Ohoro advances to mount.

Ron tries to hold on but Ohoro postures up.
Ron working to try and regain half guard.

Ohoro is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Ron can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ohoro lands a big elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Ron tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ohoro lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Ohoro controlling from mount.
Ron is squirming around, avoiding Ohoro's attempts to control the action.
Ohoro fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ron manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ohoro is trying to control. Ron wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ron is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Michael Ohoro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Ohoro shoots in looking for a takedown. Ron tries to sprawl out of it but Ohoro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ron manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ron fails with the takedown.
Ohoro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ohoro closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ron quickly recovers to half guard.
Ohoro is nestled in close to Ron, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ron is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Ohoro jumps into side control!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ron is working to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ohoro punishing his opponent with strikes.
Ohoro won't let Ron get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Ohoro looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Ohoro in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Ron is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Ohoro looking to finish Ron with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ron!
BOOM! Ohoro connects with a massive shot to the dome!
The referee warns Ron that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Ohoro controlling the position easily from mount.
Oh Ron is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ohoro scoring with strikes but Ron is staying in there.

Ohoro looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Ron covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Ohoro!
In his post fight interview, Michael Ohoro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
