Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ralph Pacaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnathan Kimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacaldo comes to the cage accompanied by ill make a man out of you. Johnathan Kimble has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ralph Pacaldo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Pacaldo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Johnathan Kimble!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimble stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kimble wants it to stay on the feet.
Pacaldo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kimble swivels and escapes.

Pacaldo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kimble to the ground. Pacaldo is now in Kimble's guard.
Kimble controls Pacaldo momentarily but Pacaldo frees himself.
Pacaldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pacaldo stays in close to Kimble's body and controls the position.

Pacaldo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Kimble, up you get!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pacaldo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pacaldo decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Kimble fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Pacaldo on the side of the head.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kimble is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
A bone on bone clash there as Kimble blocks the leg kick.
Kimble shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Pacaldo eats them both and turns towards Kimble to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kimble is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Pacaldo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kimble sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pacaldo somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ralph Pacaldo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pacaldo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kimble connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pacaldo scrambles back to his feet.
Pacaldo shoots in for a double leg but Kimble sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

and Kimble counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pacaldo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pacaldo is defended easily by Kimble.

Pacaldo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pacaldo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pacaldo decides to stand back up. Pacaldo steps back and let's Kimble get back to his feet.
Pacaldo looks for a takedown but Kimble sprawls well.
Pacaldo doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kimble counters with a straight right hand.
Pacaldo tries for a takedown but Kimble circles away easily
and Kimble makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kimble lands a jab.
Pacaldo shoots in and drives through. Kimble sprawls well.
Nice takedown defense from Kimble. No joy for Pacaldo on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Pacaldo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Pacaldo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kimble wants to control but Pacaldo is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ralph Pacaldo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kimble pushes Pacaldo off and gets back to his feet.
Pacaldo closes the distance and clinches up with Kimble, looking for a takedown. Pacaldo pushes Kimble against the cage but Kimble circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kimble is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Kimble cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Pacaldo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kimble wants to counter with a clinch but Pacaldo pushes him away.

Pacaldo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kimble defends it nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pacaldo closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Kimble is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Pacaldo darts in looking for a takedown but Kimble gets double underhooks and turns Pacaldo into the cage.
Pacaldo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kimble as he jumps to the side.
Kimble cracks a nice hook into Pacaldo's ribs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pacaldo comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.


It looks like Johnathan Kimble has been cut.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Pacaldo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Kimble's brow.

Johnathan Kimble showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pacaldo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pacaldo is taking a breather. Kimble says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kimble wants to get back to his feet but Pacaldo is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Pacaldo is standing up over Kimble. Kimble looks to escape but Pacaldo dives into side control.

Pacaldo decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Kimble counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pacaldo.
Ralph Pacaldo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pacaldo tries for a takedown but Kimble circles away easily
letting Kimble counter with a right hand.
Pacaldo darts in looking for a takedown but Kimble gets double underhooks and turns Pacaldo into the cage.
Pacaldo throws a hook to the side of Kimble's head but Kimble sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Kimble throws a series of strikes that have Pacaldo backpedaling.
Johnathan Kimble is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Kimble connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pacaldo shoots for a double leg takedown but Kimble sprawls well. He's pushed Pacaldo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kimble now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Johnathan Kimble comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kimble winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
