The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aikawa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kane quickly recovers to half guard.
Kane is not content to let Aikawa control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Aikawa in particular looking to stall.

Aikawa is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kane defends it well.

Aikawa is trying to work for a kimura but Kane is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aikawa passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kane!
Kane is looking to improve his position but Aikawa isn't that keen on the idea.

Aikawa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kane flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kane tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Kane wants to control but Aikawa is having none of it.
Aikawa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kane is looking to escape.

Kane reaches up and pulls Aikawa towards him, trying to control the position. Aikawa manages to get a guillotine from the mount though! This could be big trouble for Kane! Kane tries to roll over - now Aikawa is on the bottom but the guillotine is really deep and Kane has to tap out! Great work there by Aikawa!
