The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nick throws a jab but it's blocked by Seiler.
Seiler connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Saint Nick has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Seiler. Those never looked like landing.
Nick keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Seiler looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nick slips a jab from Seiler.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Seiler.

Seiler fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Nick, pushing him back against the cage.
Seiler lands a hook that snaps the head of Nick backwards.
A nice left hand lands by Seiler.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Seiler pulls guard successfully.
Seiler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Seiler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nick manages to get himself to full guard.

Nick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Seiler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nick wants to stand up but Seiler is controlling him.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nick takes a swing at Seiler's ribcage but misses.
Niklas Seiler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Seiler sends Nick crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Seiler is motioning to the referee to let Nick up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Nick is rocked!
Nick glances at the clock... BAM! Seiler nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Nick crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Nick is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

A relieved looking Niklas Seiler thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
