Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clint Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Helland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Clint Hill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Erik Helland!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Helland throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hill was covering up waiting for the punch and Helland finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Helland wants to control from the top but Hill keeps moving.

Helland drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hill manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Helland has Hill in his guard.


Helland is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hill is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hill chips away with some ground and pound.

Hill decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hill circles away from the clinch attempt.

Helland really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Helland manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hill on his heels. He'll look to pass Hill's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hill throws an elbow that misses. Helland uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Hill's guard. Nice move by Helland!

Helland is looking to pass into half guard but Hill pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Hill is in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Helland can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hill is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Helland has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Hill really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Helland wants to control but Hill is having none of it.

Hill is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Helland can do to turn this around?

Hill has control of Helland's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Helland regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hill is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Helland to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Helland shrugs it off.

Clint Hill overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Helland shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hill is trying to defend but Helland finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hill has control of Helland's left arm, preventing Helland from doing any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hill has managed to clinch.

Hill jumps guard and drags Helland to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
