And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 37 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luther Heggs!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Daniel Cesar and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heggs takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.


It looks like Luther Heggs has been cut.
Olhoffer throws a good cross that connects.
Olhoffer connects with a body shot that sends Heggs's belly button to the back.
Olhoffer lands a really nice looking cross but Heggs seems unphased.

Heggs has closed the distance and engaged Olhoffer in a clinch.
Heggs is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Olhoffer tries to break the clinch but Heggs is controlling the position.

Heggs breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Olhoffer gets tackled into the cage by Heggs. Heggs maintains the clinch.
Heggs misses with a body punch.
Heggs has Olhoffer pressed against the cage, preventing Olhoffer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Olhoffer is trying to break the clinch but Heggs is controlling him.
Olhoffer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Heggs lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Olhoffer blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Heggs is working Olhoffer over against the cage.

Heggs breaks from the clinch.
Olhoffer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Heggs throws a counter combo.
Olhoffer throws a hook but Heggs blocks it.
Heggs raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Heggs throws a lazy head kick
and Olhoffer counters with a left to the body.
Olhoffer misses with a hook
and Olhoffer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Olhoffer swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Heggs moves into range and clinches up with Olhoffer.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Heggs manages to break the clinch.
A clash of legs there as Olhoffer blocks the low kick.
A little feinted left hand from Olhoffer on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Olhoffer has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Olhoffer throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Heggs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Olhoffer counters with a straight right hand.
Heggs looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Heggs darts in trying to clinch
and Heggs takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Heggs walks into a straight right hand from Olhoffer.
Heggs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Olhoffer.
Olhoffer misses with a left hand
and Heggs counters with a stiff right hand.
Olhoffer is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Heggs has closed the distance and engaged Olhoffer in a clinch.

Heggs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Heggs pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Olhoffer back to the cage. Heggs follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Olhoffer lands with an uppercut that bounces Heggs off the cage and back into range.
Olhoffer throws a series of punches but Heggs avoids them all with ease.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Olhoffer throws a hook to the side of Heggs's head but Heggs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Olhoffer blocks a jab.
Heggs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Olhoffer throwing a counter right hand but Heggs manages to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Olhoffer drops Heggs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Heggs looks back up at him and smiles so Olhoffer waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Heggs is rocked!
Olhoffer circles away from the clinch attempt
and Olhoffer counters with a big left hand that crumples Heggs! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ray Olhoffer!
