Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Killjoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Bishop Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Bishop Jr's choice of entrance music: The Desolation of Smaug. Sonny Bishop Jr will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bishop Jr shoots for a takedown but Killjoy saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Killjoy throwing a counter right hand but Bishop Jr manages to avoid it.
A head kick misses from Killjoy.
Kevin Killjoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Killjoy clinches with his opponent.
Killjoy lands a body punch.

Killjoy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Killjoy lands a nice shot that snaps Bishop Jr's head back.

It looks like Sonny Bishop Jr has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bishop Jr.
Bishop Jr avoids the body shot from Killjoy.
Bishop Jr shoots in but Killjoy avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Killjoy rushes Bishop Jr and presses him up against the cage.

Killjoy jumps guard and drags Bishop Jr to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Bishop Jr throws a strike but Killjoy rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Killjoy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Killjoy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bishop Jr, up you get!

Killjoy gets through Bishop Jr's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A short body shot lands from Killjoy as the two fighters clinch.
Killjoy will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Bishop Jr up against the cage.

Killjoy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Killjoy lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Killjoy jumps into guard, dragging Bishop Jr to the mat.
Bishop Jr wants to control from the top but Killjoy keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Killjoy has Bishop Jr pulled in close to control his posture.

Killjoy wants to get back to his feet but Bishop Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Killjoy gets to his feet. Bishop Jr looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Killjoy throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Killjoy shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bishop Jr as he avoids it easily.
Killjoy lands with a right hand.
Killjoy stuffs the takedown attempt from Bishop Jr. Bishop Jr gets slowly back to his feet.

Killjoy clinches up against the cage.

Killjoy manages to pull guard.
Bishop Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Killjoy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Killjoy is on top in guard.

Killjoy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Killjoy stands up and waves to Bishop Jr to follow him.

Killjoy moves into the clinch.

Killjoy gets control of Bishop Jr's arms and successfully pulls guard. Killjoy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Bishop Jr content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Killjoy has locked up a guillotine! Killjoy's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Bishop Jr is holding on here and Killjoy must be using up a lot of energy. Bishop Jr has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Killjoy gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
