Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Jeferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niilo Vaaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Niilo Vaaka acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niilo Vaaka!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vaaka closes the distance and clinches.
Vaaka tries to work over Jeferson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Vaaka lands with a right to the head.
Vaaka lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A right hook to the body lands for Vaaka.
Vaaka lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Still in the clinch, Vaaka scores with a nice short uppercut.

Jeferson has hold of one of Vaaka's legs. Vaaka is fighting the takedown attempt but Jeferson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Jeferson won't allow Vaaka to get back to his feet.
Jeferson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vaaka works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jeferson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jeferson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Vaaka has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jeferson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Jeferson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vaaka avoids it really well and circles away.
Jeferson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Vaaka is fending him off so far but Jeferson persists. Nope, Vaaka circles away and we're back to standing.

Jeferson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Niilo Vaaka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sloppy strikes from Vaaka. Those never looked like landing.
Jeferson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Vaaka has Jeferson up against the cage in a clinch.
Jeferson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Vaaka is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Jeferson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Vaaka lands an uppercut.
Vaaka cracks Jeferson with a nice body shot.
Jeferson is breathing heavily.

Vaaka breaks from the clinch.

Vaaka clinches up with Jeferson and pushes him back against the cage.
Vaaka gets underhooks to prevent Jeferson's takedown attempt.
Jeferson is working for takedown but Vaaka is calmly controlling the position for now.

Vaaka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jeferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Vaaka sprawls well. He's pushed Jeferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Vaaka moves into range and clinches up with Jeferson.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Vaaka manages to break the clinch.

Vaaka clinches up with Jeferson and pushes him back against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Vaaka - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jeferson tries for a takedown but Vaaka manages to get underhooks.

Vaaka breaks from the clinch.
Vaaka misses with a wild combination.
Vaaka lands with a nice combination. Jeferson backs away looking to recover.

Jeferson is rocked!

It looks like Alex Jeferson has been cut.
Vaaka dances in with a quick combination. Jeferson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Vaaka snaps Jeferson's head back. Jeferson stumbles backwards against the cage. Vaaka steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Jeferson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Jeferson just didn't come prepared.
