PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordian Marius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manny Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marius comes into the arena with Justice - Genesis blaring out of the sound system. Manny Peters told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Manny Peters!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marius misses with a hook.
Marius misses the body punch
and Peters counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Gordian Marius has been cut.
Sloppy strikes from Peters. Those never looked like landing.
Marius thuds a left hand into Peters's body.
Marius scores with a jab to the body.
Marius scores with a one two! Peters had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Marius counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Marius throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Peters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Marius steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Peters.
Marius is looking to wear down Peters with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Marius throws a leg kick but Peters sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Marius misses with an attempted mid kick.

Peters takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Peters fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marius manages to avoid it.

Peters now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Marius dodges the punch combination from Peters.
Marius cracks Peters with a right hand to the side of the head.
Peters lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Peters misses with a hook
and Marius counters with a stiff right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Marius has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Peters finds it's way round the side to connect with Marius's head.

Marius seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

As Peters looks to move away, Marius throws a big counter combo bu Peters just gets out of the way.

Marius lands with a hook. Peters tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Peters misses with a shot to the body
and Marius counters with a slapping leg kick.
Marius connects with a good right hand that stumbles Peters. Peters circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Peters is rocked!

The cut above Manny Peters's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Marius scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Peters is still on wobbly legs! Can Marius finish him?

Peters gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Marius points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Peters wakes up just in time to hear Marius thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
