The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dog misses with a few strikes there.
Michaels shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Dog but Dog pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dog throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Michaels throws out a counter right but Dog avoids it with no problem.
Michaels doesn't manage to clinch there - Dog circles away.
Michaels shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Dog leaves Michaels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Duke Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Michaels.
Dog will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Michaels moves in looking to clinch but Dog pushes him off.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Shawn Michaels has been cut.
Michaels is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Dog moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
