Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dallas Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Steele!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele scores with a hook.


It looks like Dallas Kong has been cut.
Kong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steele.

Steele looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Steele throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Kong trying to control the position from guard on top but Steele is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Steele thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Kong feints and as Steele raises his hands in defense, Kong changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Kong drops back looking for a leg! Steele is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Steele manages to kick Kong off! Kong jumps back into Steele's guard.

Kong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Steele looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kong is one step ahead there.
Steele manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kong manages to get himself to full guard.

Kong is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Steele must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Steele working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kong's head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kong drops his hands momentarily and Steele takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Steele is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Steele looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kong is staying active underneath Steele, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Kong takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Steele tries to land a leg kick but Kong saw it coming and moves away.
