Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ali Pasha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aslak Aas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nunnuka Nunnuka. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ali Pasha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Aslak Aas!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pasha wants to slow Aas down by chopping away at his legs.
Aas throws a body shot but no joy.
Aas misses the jab.
Aas tries to clinch but Pasha moves out of range.
Good standup being displayed there by Aas as he connects with a hook.
Pasha takes a swing at Aas's ribcage but misses.
Pasha ducks under a wild hook from Aas.
Aas takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Aas throws a hook but Pasha blocks it.
Pasha throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aas sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A nice side step and Aas releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Aslak Aas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Aas throws a hook to the side of Pasha's head but Pasha sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A counter left hand to the body from Pasha misses its target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left lands for Aas.

Aas closes the distance and clinches.
Aas misses with a hook from the clinch.
Pasha blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Aas tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Pasha has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Aas swings wildly with an uppercut but Pasha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Aas tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Pasha tries to work over Aas's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Pasha throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Aas swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Aas swings wildly with an uppercut but Pasha uses good head movement to avoid it.
Aas using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pasha has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Pasha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pasha looks to score with a jab to the body but Aas is just out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Pasha.
Pasha cracks Aas with a right hand to the side of the head.
Aas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Pasha looks to throw the jab but Aas is out of range.
Aas tries to close the distance and clinch but Pasha swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Aas is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Pasha swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Aas misses with a hook.
Aas checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

and Pasha counters with a lovely straight right hand!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Aas throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Pasha scores with a body shot.
Pasha scores with a spinning back kick!
A jab from Aas misses.
Pasha feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Pasha throws a leg kick
and Aas counters with a body kick that stops Pasha in his tracks momentarily.
Aas lands a jab.
Aas throws a half hearted mid kick.
Aas lands a lovely overhand right.
Aas walks into a jab.
Pasha keeps the fight on the outside.
Pasha throws a body shot but no joy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pasha swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Aas tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pasha manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Aas connects with a single shot there.
Good shot there by Aas.


Pasha is rocked!
Pasha walks straight into a right hand from Aas - that's dropped him! Aas jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Pasha from any more punishment! Pasha complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Aslak Aas!
Aslak Aas seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Ali Pasha spoke after the fight, saying 'He was the better fighter tonight. But I will be back'.
