The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez just misses with a punch to the body.
Alexandre misses with a takedown attempt

and Gonzalez moves into the clinch.
Alexandre tries to score a body lock takedown but Gonzalez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Alexandre is trying to stall.

Gonzalez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alexandre misses with a wild body shot.
Alexandre pushes Gonzalez away with a front kick.

Gonzalez drives through with a takedown into Alexandre's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gonzalez is pushing down on Alexandre's leg trying to pass to half guard. Alexandre is fighting to maintain full guard but Gonzalez has managed to sneak the leg through.
Alexandre knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gonzalez on the ground.

Gonzalez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Alexandre!

Gonzalez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gonzalez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Alexandre really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gonzalez is landing with some decent strikes but Alexandre is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Gonzalez postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Alexandre badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Gonzalez around the waist but Gonzalez pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Gonzalez is the winner by TKO! Gonzalez jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

A less than humble Jason Gonzalez misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
