PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tylher Frost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Azh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Azh has chosen Manu Militari - Voix De Fait as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tylher Frost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Azh!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Azh looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Frost!
Azh throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Frost because Azh loaded up on that one.
Azh connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Azh prevents Frost from getting the reversal.

Azh with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Frost defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Azh.
Frost is desperately trying to improve his position but Azh has a good base and remains in mount.

Azh goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Frost is on top in guard.
Frost postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Azh is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Azh wants to pass the guard but Frost is keeping the position.

Frost can't keep his opponent in guard - Azh advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Azh is keen to just control but Frost is a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Frost slips a straight right by Azh.
Frost tries to land a front kick but Azh steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Azh closes the distance and clinches up with Frost, looking for a takedown. Azh pushes Frost against the cage but Frost circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Frost counters with a nice double leg into side control. Azh won't be happy with that.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
