Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brant Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor Anderson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Taylor Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, William Peck and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson dives in and scores a takedown into Murray's guard.
Anderson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Murray is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Anderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Murray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Anderson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Murray really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Murray wants to stand up but Anderson is controlling him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Anderson misses with a body kick.
Taylor Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson clobbers Murray with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Murray keeps control of Anderson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Murray is fighting off a takedown attempt but Anderson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Murray to the mat. Murray regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Anderson wants to control from the top but Murray keeps moving.

Anderson advances position into side control!
Murray pushes Anderson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Anderson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Anderson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Murray has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Anderson but great work by Murray.
Anderson is trying to control Murray's posture but Murray avoids it.
Anderson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Murray's best efforts.
Anderson wants to get back to full guard.
Murray not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson is trying to maintain the position but Murray is very close to passing his half guard.
Murray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Anderson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Murray scores with a couple of nice shots.
Murray stops Anderson from getting back to his feet.

Murray thows a huge punch but Anderson dodges it nicely.
Anderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Murray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murray's back!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Murray is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Will Anderson go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Anderson just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Anderson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Murray's guard.

Murray has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Anderson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anderson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Anderson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Anderson decides to stand back up.
Anderson lands a slapping body shot.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Anderson. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Anderson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Murray looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Anderson won't allow Murray to get back to his feet.

Murray is working an open guard so Anderson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Anderson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Anderson tries to pass to full mount but Murray defends it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Taylor Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

The strikes coming from Anderson are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Anderson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Murray tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Anderson is in Murray's guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Murray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Taylor Anderson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Anderson wants to sweep here but Murray controlling him for the moment.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Murray accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Anderson has his foot on Murray's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murray works his way back into a safe position though.

Anderson wants to control from the top but Murray keeps moving.
Anderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Murray throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Anderson escapes and throws Murray's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Anderson wants to control but Murray is keeping him busy.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Taylor Anderson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
