Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glenn Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore's entrance music is Funeral Thirst. A fine choice. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards stuffs the takedown attempt from Moore. Moore gets slowly back to his feet.
Moore will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Edwards throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moore.

Moore looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Edwards wants to get back to his feet.

Moore is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Edwards has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Edwards tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moore swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Edwards counters with a head kick. That will keep Moore thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Edwards changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moore looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Edwards takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Edwards won't allow Moore to sweep him here.

Moore bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Edwards's guard.

Edwards is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Moore connects with a nice short shot to Edwards's temple.

Moore winds up and cracks Edwards with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Moore looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Edwards with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Moore is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Moore chips away with some ground and pound.
Glenn Edwards has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Edwards is looking to stand up but Moore isn't so interested in that idea.

Edwards had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Moore is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Edwards Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Moore's back instead.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Moore rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Moore wants to control but Edwards is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Billy Moore is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Moore slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Moore lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Edwards!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Billy Moore.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Moore, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
