Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lance Hardwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Zumo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Lance Hardwood has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardwood takes a swing at Zumo's ribcage but misses.

We've been told by Hardwood's head coaches at V Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Zumo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hardwood. Zumo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Zumo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Hardwood is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Zumo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Zumo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Zumo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardwood sprawls well initially but Zumo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Zumo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Hardwood doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Zumo.

Zumo is nestled in close to Hardwood, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Zumo lands a big elbow - Hardwood is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Zumo!
