Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vann Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alfredo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomez has chosen We Can't Stop as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight walks into a left hand.
A chopping leg kick lands by Knight.
Gomez throws the left hand but Knight avoids the punch easily.
Gomez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Knight throws a sloppy head kick and Gomez moves out of range easily.

Gomez rushes Knight and presses him up against the cage.

Knight throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

We've been hearing reports that Knight has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Knight breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Knight takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Knight connects with a solid leg kick.
Gomez loads up on a big right hand but Knight slips the punch.
No joy there for Gomez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Vann Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Gomez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Knight throws the left hand but Gomez avoids the punch easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Knight is rocked!
BOOM! Gomez lands a beautiful left hook that drops Knight. Knight tries to recover but Gomez is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Knight lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
