The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

It looks like Rinky Spider has been cut.
Spider throws a body kick that misses.
A telegraphed right hand from Spider misses the target.

Spider lands a nice looking kick to the body. Norton takes a step back to recover.
Spider tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Norton connects with a right hand. Spider shakes it off.
Spider has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Humboldt Park Elite Gym in the buildup to the fight.

Norton is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Spider.

and Spider counters with a nice body shot.

Spider moves into range and clinches up with Norton.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Norton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Spider instigates a clinch.
Norton wants to break the clinch but can't.
A nice right hand lands inside from Spider.
Spider throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Nortons head.

Norton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Spider throws a nice outside leg kick.
Norton missing with a left hand there. Spider was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Spider tries to clinch up but Norton circles away and keeps his distance.

Norton misses with a looping left.
Spider swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Norton takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Norton throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spider sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Spider scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Spider thuds his shin into the meat of Norton's side.
That kick from Spider tenderised Norton's leg. Norton is trying to keep his angry face on.
Norton takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Spider scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Spider lands a front kick.

Spider has closed the distance and engaged Norton in a clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Spider goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Spider lands a shoulder strike.
Spider displaying some good clinch control by pressing Norton up against the cage.
Spider misses with some punches.
Spider can't find room to land a body shot as Norton controls the action.
Norton wants to get back to striking at distance but Spider won't allow it.
Spider has a couple of punches blocked by Norton.

Norton tries to break free but Spider pushes him back against the cage.
Spider misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Spider keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Norton's efforts to push away.
Spider misses with a hook to the ribs.

Norton manages to break the clinch.
Norton throws a jab but it's blocked by Spider.
Spider tests Norton's chin there with a solid looking shot.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Norton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Spider - the referee stops the clock and Norton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Spider. Norton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Spider fakes the leg kick and cracks Norton in the body.
Spider cracks Norton with an open hand slap.
Norton takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Spider throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
A nice leg kick lands there from Spider.
Norton throws a lazy uppercut
and Spider counters with a thumping low kick.
Norton takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A jab from Spider does it's job there.
Spider thumps Norton with a low kick.

Spider fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Norton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Spider uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Norton.
Spider lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Spider lands a big uppercut and Norton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Norton looks OK. Spider waves Norton back to his feet!
