Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willian Detonator (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Willian Detonator!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bruce Robertson!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Detonator tries to clinch but Robertson is having none of it.
Robertson misses with a takedown attempt - Detonator sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Robertson looks for a takedown but Detonator sprawls well.
Robertson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Robertson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Detonator takes one on the button.
Robertson swats away the attempt to clinch by Detonator.
Robertson shoots in and drives through. Detonator sprawls well.
Willian Detonator has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruce Robertson.
Robertson shoots for a takedown but Detonator saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Detonator misses with a combination
and Robertson counters with a one-two to the body.
Detonator tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Robertson counters with a takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Robertson wants to control but Detonator is keeping him busy.

Robertson working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Robertson throws a strike aimed at the side of Detonator's head but Detonator avoids it well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Robertson tries for a kimura but Detonator is defending well.

Robertson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Robertson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Robertson looks gassed!
Detonator is pushing Robertson's head away, looking to escape. Robertson manages to hold on to the position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Robertson looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Robertson has gone for a leg lock! Detonator slips out almost immediately though and dives into Robertson's guard.

Detonator gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Detonator looks to clinch

and Robertson counters with a shoot takedown. Detonator fights it but they end up in guard.
Robertson throws a strike but Detonator rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Robertson looking for a guillotine here but Detonator defends easily.

Detonator gets to his feet - Robertson follows without any prompting.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Detonator misses with a few strikes there.
Detonator tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Robertson counters with a shoot takedown. Detonator fights it but they end up in guard.

Robertson passes Detonator's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Robertson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Detonator is just riding it out for now. Robertson eventually gives up the hold.
Robertson is tying to control. Detonator wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Robertson is breathing heavily.

Robertson looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Robertson is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Detonator has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Detonator is looking to escape.
Robertson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Detonator keeps working.

Robertson is looking for a kimura but Detonator is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Robertson to get the leverage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Detonator clinches but Robertson breaks the clinch

and Robertson counters with a takedown into side control.
Detonator wants to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Robertson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Detonator has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Robertson but great work by Detonator.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Detonator tries to stand but Robertson is controlling his head.
Robertson is looking for a sweep.
Robertson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Robertson is trying to control Detonator's posture but Detonator avoids it.
Robertson is looking to regain half guard here but Detonator keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Robertson fails with a takedown attempt.
Detonator closes the distance looking to clinch

and Robertson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Detonator's guard now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bruce Robertson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Detonator throws a right hand that Robertson ducks under and follows up with a left that Robertson also avoids with ease.

Robertson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Robertson works his way into full mount!
Robertson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Robertson punching from mount but Detonator doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Robertson looking to secure an arm triangle but Detonator defends it well.
Robertson throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Robertson goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Detonator is on top in guard.
Detonator has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Robertson is proving hard to escape from.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Robertson is looking for a triangle but Detonator pushes his legs off easily.

Robertson has his foot on Detonator's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Detonator works his way back into a safe position though.
Bruce Robertson has got the better of the ground game so far.
Robertson is trying to keep Detonator in close.

Robertson looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A left and a right from Detonator both land. Nice combination.

Robertson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Detonator doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Robertson.

Robertson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Willian Detonator has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bruce Robertson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Robertson seems to be looking for submissions.

Well Robertson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
