Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Claudio Demaestri!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Jones pushes Demaestri up against the cage in a clinch.

Jones has picked Demaestri up - he's going for a ride! Jones dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Jones stands up out of the half guard.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Demaestri wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
Demaestri is looking to improve his position.

Demaestri actively working from the bottom here.

Jones stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Demaestri to get to his feet.
Claudio Demaestri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Demaestri pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jones seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Demaestri connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands.

Demaestri drops Jones with a nice combination! Demaestri dives into Jones's guard, looking to finish!

Jones is rocked!
Demaestri trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom.
Oh Jones is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Demaestri drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Demaestri off! Demaestri jumps back into Jones's guard.

Demaestri tries to free his leg and advance position but Jones is retaining full guard.
Jones seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Demaestri is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Demaestri is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Demaestri is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Jones is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Jones has escaped and now he's on top!
Demaestri is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Demaestri has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones is looking to stand up but Demaestri won't let him.

Demaestri has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Jones should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Demaestri has tightened it up now! Jones should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

After the fight, Claudio Demaestri was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
