Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Hancock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Poe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jacob Poe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phillip Hancock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poe drops Hancock with a right and a left! Poe comes rushing in but Hancock regains his composure and manages to keep Poe in guard.

It looks like Phillip Hancock has been cut.
Hancock trying to control the position here.
Hancock is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Poe wants to stand but Hancock has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Poe has gone for a leg lock! Hancock slips out almost immediately though and dives into Poe's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Poe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hancock defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hancock wanted to stand there but Poe had control of the position.

Poe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hancock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Poe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hancock could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Poe has his foot on Hancock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hancock works his way back into a safe position though.
Hancock chips away with some ground and pound.

Poe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hancock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hancock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hancock has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Poe is proving hard to escape from.

Poe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hancock defends well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Poe is looking to stand up but Hancock isn't so interested in that idea.
Hancock is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Hancock slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Hancock prevents Poe from getting back to his feet.

Hancock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Poe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hancock has managed to get both his arms back between Poe's legs - danger averted.
Poe looks winded!
Hancock postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Hancock content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hancock distracts Poe with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hancock content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Hancock stands up from Poe's guard - Hancock perhaps looking for a knockout.
Hancock misses with a takedown attempt - Poe sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Hancock closes the distance and clinches up with Poe, looking for a takedown. Hancock pushes Poe against the cage but Poe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hancock fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phillip Hancock. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hancock slips a jab and a cross from Poe.
Hancock looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hancock throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Poe's waist but Poe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hancock off to one side.
Jacob Poe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poe getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Poe tries to clinch up but Hancock circles away and keeps his distance.
Hancock throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Poe connects with a nice looking jab.

Poe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Poe lands in his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Poe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hancock to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Poe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hancock pulls down on the head and he's put Poe to sleep! This one is all over!
