And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nijhoff blocks a jab.
Nijhoff shoots in but Hardwood avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hardwood connects with a body shot.
Nijhoff fails with the takedown
and Hardwood counters with a stiff right hand.
Nijhoff tries for a takedown but Hardwood circles away easily
and Hardwood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Beaver Hardwood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bram Nijhoff.
Nijhoff dives in for a single leg takedown but Hardwood sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nijhoff shoots in for a takedown but Hardwood shows good takedown defense.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Donk. Hardwood catches Nijhoff right on the button with a cross.
Nice takedown defense from Hardwood. No joy for Nijhoff on that attempt.
Hardwood cracks Nijhoff on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Nijhoff falls backwards against the cage. Hardwood follows up with more strikes that drop Nijhoff to his knees. Hardwood keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Nijhoff! This one is all over!
