Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kcim Balam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kcim Balam has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler slips under a jab from Balam.
Balam chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Balam blocks a jab.
No joy there for Chandler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Balam showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chandler.
Chandler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chandler swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Balam let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Balam pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Chandler throws a series of punches but Balam moves out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Chandler. No joy for Balam on that attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd cheers as Balam lands an impressive looking overhand right. Chandler doesn't seem phased though.

Chandler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Balam circles away quickly and effectively.
Chandler on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Balam. Balam obviously looking to wear him down.
Chandler tries to bum rush Balam with a series of wild strikes but Balam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Chandler has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Hut - $50 in the buildup to the fight.
The fighters circle momentarily. Balam darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Balam ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chandler moves away.
Chandler paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Balam bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

A little feinted left hand from Chandler on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Chandler is looking to wear down Balam with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Chandler misses with the combination.
Balam looks for the body kick but Chandler saw that one coming.

Balam throws a front kick that sends Chandler stumbling back into the cage.
Chandler throws a right hand that Balam ducks under and follows up with a left that Balam also avoids with ease.

Chandler looks to land a combination but Balam avoids it well.

Balam takes one on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Balam throws a left and a right that both miss
and Chandler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Chandler misses with a series of wild punches.
Chandler cracks Balam with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Balam feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Chandler's calf.
Balam fails with a takedown attempt.
Balam drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Balam is working Chandler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Balam throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chandler keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kcim Balam dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Balam shoots for a double leg takedown but Chandler sprawls well. He's pushed Balam's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Balam fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chandler has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Balam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chandler napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Chandler takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Balam lands some shots froms side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Chandler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Balam on the ground.

Balam has an Americana. Chandler didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Balam is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Balam hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
