PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Merv Ridley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Showtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ridley comes into the arena with Don't Turn Off The Lights - Enrique Iglesias blaring out of the sound system. Jordan Showtime will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

No joy there for Showtime, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Showtime looks to land a combination but Ridley avoids it well.
Ridley shoots in and drives through. Showtime sprawls well.

Ridley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Showtime tries to avoid it but Ridley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Showtime to the ground. Showtime escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Ridley is taking a breather. Showtime says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ridley seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Showtime for as long as he can get away with.

Ridley is working for a rear naked choke. Showtime is not defending it well and Ridley has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Showtime refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Showtime's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
