Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Rancher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Parkman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Parkman!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parkman feints and as Rancher raises his hands in defense, Parkman changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Parkman advances to half guard.
Parkman not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Parkman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rancher tries to avoid it but Parkman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rancher to the ground. Rancher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rancher gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Parkman regains guard.

Rancher looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Rancher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Rancher counters with a single leg into guard. Parkman didn't expect that.

Parkman doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Rancher counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Parkman's guard now.
Rancher postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Parkman has his foot on Rancher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rancher works his way back into a safe position though.

Parkman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rancher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rancher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Parkman lands a nice short elbow.
Parkman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rancher's head.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tony Rancher will probably get the nod.

That's time! Rancher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Parkman stands and throws Rancher's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Rancher's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rancher has Parkman pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Parkman manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Rancher has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Parkman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Parkman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Parkman connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

You can see the frustration on Rancher's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Rancher is desperately trying to improve his position but Parkman has a good base and remains in mount.

Parkman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Rancher can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Parkman has control of Rancher's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rancher regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Parkman can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Rancher is looking to escape.

Rancher bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Rancher is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Parkman is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

I would just about give that final round to Matt Parkman.
I think Rancher has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
