Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Duke Roufus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niles Vertebral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vertebral has chosen Hemlock | No Time For Sorrow as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vertebral uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Roufus.
We've been informed that Vertebral has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Vertebral throws a leg kick but Roufus checks it.
Roufus throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Roufus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Vertebral jabs Roufus right on the nose. Roufus blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Duke Roufus has been cut.
Vertebral lands with a shot to the body.

Roufus wants to slow Vertebral down by chopping away at his legs.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Roufus.

Vertebral throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Roufus on the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roufus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vertebral swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Vertebral throws a front kick aimed at Roufus's knee but Roufus avoids it well.
Vertebral fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Roufus looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Vertebral cracks Roufus with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Vertebral cracks Roufus with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Roufus is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Roufus is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9, he's up! Wow, he cut that one a bit fine!

Vertebral ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Vertebral connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Roufus's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Roufus - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
