Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gore Malicious (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Quinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Quinn!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Quinn throws a punch but it's blocked by Malicious.

Quinn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Malicious ducks under a wild hook from Quinn.
Quinn swats away the attempt to clinch by Malicious.
Malicious ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Quinn moves away.
Malicious tries to clinch there but Quinn circles away.
Quinn throws a counter combo.
Malicious tries to clinch up but Quinn circles away and keeps his distance.
Quinn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Quinn tries to keep at a distance but Malicious has taken the fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Quinn lands with a short shot to the head.

Quinn swings wildly with an uppercut but Malicious uses good head movement to avoid it.

Malicious takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Quinn takes one on the button.
Quinn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Gore Malicious seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Malicious fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Quinn, pushing him back against the cage.

Malicious breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Malicious takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Malicious wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Quinn throws a lazy body kick
and Malicious counters with a series of strikes. Quinn will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Malicious forces Quinn back against the cage and clinches.

Quinn blocks an elbow strike.
Malicious tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Malicious effectively controlling the action here.
Malicious lands a knee to the body.
Quinn lands a body shot.
Quinn misses with a hook to the ribs.
Malicious holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Malicious throws a head punch that misses.
Quinn stalling in the clinch but Malicious improves position.

Malicious escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Malicious lands with a kick to the temple. Quinn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Joe Quinn has been cut.
Malicious is looking to clinch.
Quinn misses with a body kick.
Malicious closes the distance but Quinn moves to the side
and Quinn cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Malicious misses with a hook. Quinn ducked under it nicely.
Quinn looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Quinn's jab looks to have found its range, popping Malicious under the eye.

Quinn gets tackled into the cage by Malicious. Malicious maintains the clinch.
Malicious lands a damaging elbow.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Quinn takes a shot to the head.
Malicious has Quinn pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Quinn scores with a hook to the body. Malicious takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Malicious tries to clinch up but Quinn circles away and keeps his distance.

and Quinn counters with a crisp one two that drops Malicious! Quinn thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Malicious to his feet! Malicious is in big trouble!

Malicious tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Oh Malicious is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Quinn connects with a crisp jab.
Malicious throws a leg kick that is checked
and Quinn counters with a nice body kick.
Malicious gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Malicious tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Quinn is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Malicious buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Malicious!! Malicious is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Quinn throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
