Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiago Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zeus Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez comes to the cage accompanied by Trap Door. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie with a poor takedown
and Mendez counters with a two punch combo.
Gracie fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mendez avoids it really well and circles away.
Mendez is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Gracie.
Gracie looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tiago Mendez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeus Gracie.
Mendez keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice sprawl there from Mendez as Gracie shoots in.

Mendez forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gracie is looking to take this one to the mat.
Gracie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mendez walks away with a smile on his face. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gracie tries to keep at a distance but Mendez has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mendez is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Mendez pulls guard successfully.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Mendez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mendez manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Mendez's guard.

Mendez is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Gracie frees his head nicely. Oh but Mendez has switched to an armbar! Gracie is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
