PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eloy Bullock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kronos Haduk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Eloy Bullock has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eloy Bullock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kronos Haduk!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bullock gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Bullock tries to pull guard but Haduk holds him up against the cage and eventually Bullock drops back down to his feet.

Bullock jumps guard and drags Haduk to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Haduk is pushing down on Bullock's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bullock is fighting to maintain full guard but Haduk has managed to sneak the leg through.
Haduk slows the pace down in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haduk looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Haduk is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like Haduk might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Bullock tries to roll over but Haduk keeps him under control.

Haduk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Bullock is defending against the submission attempts here by Haduk.
Bullock is looking to control Haduk's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bullock avoid being mounted?
Haduk is keen to just control but Bullock is a slippery customer.
Ground and pound from Haduk.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Haduk working over Bullock with some ground and pound. Bullock looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Haduk is looking to take a break and control but Bullock is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Haduk is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Haduk sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Bullock defending well though.
Haduk is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Let's hope that Haduk has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bullock is trying to control but can't.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kronos Haduk dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bullock wants to clinch.

Haduk shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Haduk scoring with strikes to the body and head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Haduk seems to be working for a kimura but Bullock defends the submission attempt.
Bullock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haduk on the ground.
Bullock tries to kick Haduk off but Haduk keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Haduk wants to pass the guard but Bullock is defending well.
Haduk takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Haduk frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Haduk throwing strikes here but Bullock is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Haduk throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Bullock is desperately trying to improve his position but Haduk has a good base and remains in mount.
Haduk controlling his opponent.

Bullock manages to control the position for a moment.
Haduk lands with some strikes.
Haduk tries to control but Bullock wriggling away.
Haduk content just to control the position here.
Haduk avoids the attempt from Bullock to control.

Haduk looking to ground and pound but Bullock is blocking nicely.
Haduk controlling his opponent.
Kronos Haduk has got the better of the ground game so far.
Haduk looking to ground and pound but Bullock is blocking nicely.
Haduk looking to control but Bullock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bullock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Haduk lands a big elbow.

Haduk jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Bullock manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Bullock wants to control but Haduk postures up.
Bullock is not content to let Haduk control the position.

Haduk has hold of Bullock's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bullock tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Haduk cranks the arm and Bullock screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bullock, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kronos Haduk!
