Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Bruce Armstrong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yoncy Lowvinceski!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lowvinceski avoids the head kick by Armstrong.
Lowvinceski is looking for the big counter here.
Lowvinceski looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Armstrong fails to land with a series of punches.

Lowvinceski gets a takedown into half guard.
Armstrong makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Armstrong.
Armstrong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lowvinceski manages to get himself to full guard.

Lowvinceski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Armstrong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Armstrong sitting in guard, not really doing much.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Armstrong postures up and lands a big shot to Lowvinceski's brow.

Armstrong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Lowvinceski has momentary wrist control but Armstrong slips an elbow through the middle.
Armstrong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Armstrong lands a couple of elbows.
Armstrong content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Armstrong controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Armstrong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Our spies down at at Cozad MMA Hilo inform us that Lowvinceski has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Armstrong cracks Lowvinceski with a solid left hand.
Lowvinceski can't keep his opponent in guard - Armstrong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Armstrong has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Lowvinceski defend it? Armstrong steps over the head and cranks it - Lowvinceski is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Armstrong!
