The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grimes lands with a hook. Bum tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Grimes misses with a straight right.
A looping hook to the body misses from Grimes. Bum does a little dance to reset his feet.
Beach Bum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bum closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Grimes's guard.
Grimes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Grimes pulls Bum in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grimes is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Bum drops back looking for a leg! Grimes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grimes manages to kick Bum off! Bum jumps back into Grimes's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grimes can do anything to dispel that myth.
Grimes is looking to stand up but Bum isn't so interested in that idea.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grimes keeping moving, preventing Bum from controlling successfully.

Bum is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Grimes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Bum is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Grimes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bum throws a nice looking combination but Grimes bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Grimes misses with a hook. Bum ducked under it nicely.
An attempted straight right counter from Bum misses the target.
Grimes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bum throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Bum fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Grimes avoids it really well and circles away.
Bum lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Rick Grimes has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bum misses with a double jab
and Grimes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bum drops Grimes with a right and a left! Bum comes rushing in but Grimes regains his composure and manages to keep Bum in guard.

Grimes is rocked!

Bum thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Bum drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Bum as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Grimes screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Bum! Nice submission victory there!
