Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Timpurhkhum Chouncheun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Zol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chouncheun comes to the cage accompanied by พิณบรรเลง. Jay Zol struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 137.6lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chouncheun leaves Zol with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Chouncheun avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Zol walks into a stiff left hand from Chouncheun.
Chouncheun walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Zol checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Chouncheun throws a looping overhand right but Zol ducks down to avoid it.
Chouncheun ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Chouncheun pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Chouncheun. Zol shrugs it off though.
Chouncheun throws a push kick but Zol slaps the foot to one side.
We've been told by Chouncheun's head coaches at LOD - Phoenix Mixed Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chouncheun enables Zol to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chouncheun manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Zol throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chouncheun works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Zol wants to control from the top but Chouncheun keeps moving.
Chouncheun controls Zol momentarily but Zol frees himself.
Chouncheun looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Zol has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Zol throws a big elbow that misses.

Zol postures up and lands a big shot to Chouncheun's brow.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Zol closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Chouncheun to the mat! Chouncheun manages to get full guard.
Chouncheun has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Zol has passed into side control.

Zol throws a strike aimed at the side of Chouncheun's head but Chouncheun avoids it well.
Chouncheun tries to improve position but can't.
Chouncheun regains half guard, as Zol was trying to land strikes.
Chouncheun has his hands clasped together around Zol's back. He's all about the action.

Chouncheun tries to roll over but Zol keeps him under control.
Chouncheun is staying active underneath Zol, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Zol thows a huge punch but Chouncheun dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Chouncheun is looking to control Zol's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chouncheun avoid being mounted?

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Zol shoots in and gets a takedown into Chouncheun's guard.
Zol tries to free his leg and advance position but Chouncheun is retaining full guard.
Zol throws a strike but Chouncheun rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Zol wants to stand but Chouncheun is controlling the position.

Zol scrambles and gets back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zol sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Zol shoots for a takedown but Chouncheun saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Jay Zol has been cut.
Chouncheun drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Zol right on the button. Zol goes down! Chouncheun follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Chouncheun gets the win via TKO!
