The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Subzero connects with a solid leg kick.
Subzero motions for Clasie to come forward. Subzero throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Subzero scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Subzero has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sweat in the buildup to the fight.
Clasie moves out of range as Subzero throws a body kick.
Subzero throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Clasie has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Subzero.
Clasie fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Subzero manages to avoid it.
Clasie throws out a loose jab but Subzero uses good head movement to avoid it.
Clasie misses with a kick to the body.
Clasie throws a hook but Subzero blocks it.
Clasie looks to throw the jab but Subzero is out of range.
As Clasie tries to get set, Subzero tries to push him back and clinch up but Clasie manages to avoid the attempt.
Clasie looks for the body kick but Subzero saw that one coming.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Subzero slips under a jab from Clasie.
Subzero wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Clasie on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Subzero. Subzero obviously looking to wear him down.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Clasie checks a leg kick.
Clasie is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Subzero.
Subzero wants to slow Clasie down by chopping away at his legs.

Subzero tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Subzero closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Subzero walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Clasie checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Clasie lunges at Subzero with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Subzero's hand.
Clasie throws a jab but it's blocked by Subzero.
Subzero seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Subzero ducks under a wild hook from Clasie.
Clasie lands a nice looking body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Subzero shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Clasie takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Marcel Clasie has been cut.
Subzero slips a straight right by Clasie.
Clasie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Clasie fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Subzero.

Subzero walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Subzero walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Clasie checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Clasie throws a hook but Subzero avoids it easily.

Subzero throws a front kick aimed at Clasie's knee but Clasie avoids it well.
Clasie has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Subzero.
Subzero ducks right into an uppercut from Clasie.
Subzero misses with a kick to the body.

Subzero looks to land a body kick but Clasie moved away.
Clasie throws a hook to the side of Subzero's head but Subzero sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Clasie misses with a double jab.
Subzero avoids the head kick by Clasie.
Subzero tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Clasie manages to circle out of the way.
Clasie throws a body kick that misses.
Clasie throws the left hand but Subzero avoids the punch easily.
Subzero wants to slow Clasie down by chopping away at his legs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Subzero.
Subzero thows a leg kick but Clasie checks it

and Clasie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Subzero looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Subzero misses with an elbow over the top.
Clasie working hard to break the clinch.
Clasie wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Clasie takes an elbow to the temple.
Subzero throws an elbow but it misses.

Clasie escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Subzero throws a nice inside leg kick.

Subzero lands a front kick.

Subzero lands a big head kick that sends Clasie tumbling to the mat! Subzero takes a step backwards and waves Clasie back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Clasie is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Subzero looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Subzero backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Clasie's temple! It sends Clasie violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Subzero celebrates and the doctors try to help Clasie!
