The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Apolinario fails with a takedown attempt.
Apolinario takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Apolinario misses with a takedown attempt - The Beast sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Apolinario shoots in but The Beast avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The Beast tries to counter by closing the distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Agenor Apolinario. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Apolinario takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Apolinario walks into a jab.
Apolinario tries for a takedown but The Beast sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It seemed like The Beast was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Apolinario darts in looking for a takedown but The Beast gets double underhooks and turns Apolinario into the ropes.

The Beast is pushing Apolinario up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Come on The Beast - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

The referee is keeping an eye on The Beast - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Apolinario looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but The Beast is defending well. Apolinario quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! The Beast has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Apolinario celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
