Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Fitzgerald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Keys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyle Keys has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Franklin Fitzgerald's chin.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keys throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Franklin Fitzgerald has been cut.
A nice combination there by Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald lands a slapping body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Keys 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Keys changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fitzgerald tries to avoid it but Keys manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fitzgerald to the ground. Fitzgerald escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fitzgerald fires out a quick counter leg kick but Keys just manages to avoid it.
Fitzgerald misses with a low kick.
Keys has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald lands a left and a right that send Keys crashing to the mat, dazed. Fitzgerald thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Kyle Keys has been cut.
Keys's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Keys's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fitzgerald scores with a jab. Keys acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Keys dives in and scores a takedown into Fitzgerald's guard.
Fitzgerald wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Fitzgerald continues to stall.

Keys throwing strikes but missing.
Keys trying to control but Fitzgerald is working from the bottom.
Fitzgerald on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fitzgerald tries to get out of the position.
Fitzgerald wants to sweep but no luck.
Fitzgerald pulls Keys in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Fitzgerald connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Fitzgerald stalks Keys and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Keys's face. Keys staggers backwards, shaken.
Fitzgerald dodges the punch combination from Keys.
Fitzgerald swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Fitzgerald throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Fitzgerald digs a good body shot into Keys's ribs.
Keys checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Keys swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Fitzgerald lands a lovely overhand right.
Fitzgerald throws a head kick but Keys moves out of range.
Keys tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Fitzgerald manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Fitzgerald bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Fitzgerald scores with a crisp jab that stopped Keys in his tracks.
Fitzgerald lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Keys is rocked!
Franklin Fitzgerald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fitzgerald throws a leg kick but Keys checks it.
Keys throws a counter combo.
Keys is still on wobbly legs! Can Fitzgerald finish him?
Keys backs away from a small jab... but Fitzgerald lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Keys crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Fitzgerald with a spectacular finish!
