The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balabbo throws a head kick but Bolton moves out of range.
Balabbo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bolton has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Balabbo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A jab from Balabbo does it's job there.

Balabbo forces Bolton back against the cage and clinches.
Balabbo misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Balabbo misses with a knee strike.
Balabbo lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Solomon Bolton has been cut.
Bolton takes an elbow to the temple.

Balabbo has Bolton pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Bolton is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Balabbo - that's hurt Bolton badly! Oh, another knee lands and Bolton is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Bolton doesn't seem to be complaining.
