The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab by Statham.
Nice body kick there by Statham.
Nice takedown defense from Statham. No joy for Doyles on that attempt.
Statham throws a head kick that misses.
Statham misses with a head kick.
Doyles lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Statham misses with a two punch combination.
Doyles is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Doyles shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Statham sprawls well. Statham wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Doyles gets slowly back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Statham throws a sloppy head kick and Doyles moves out of range easily.
Doyles blocks a head kick by Statham.
Doyles looks to score with a jab to the body but Statham is just out of range.

Doyles swings around for an armbar but Statham sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Doyles's guard.

Statham drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Doyles manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Statham has Doyles in his guard.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Doyles seems to be looking for submissions.
Doyles has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Doyles wants to control the pace but Statham is squirming around nicely.

Doyles will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doyles shoots in for a double leg but Statham sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
