Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Armani Cabrera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dack Fayden!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabrera pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A leg kick checked by Cabrera.
Cabrera takes a jab right on the kisser.
Fayden shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cabrera defends it nicely.
Fayden throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Cabrera seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Fayden has his takedown stuffed
and Cabrera counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Dack Fayden has been cut.
Cabrera drops his hands momentarily and Fayden takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fayden throws a leg kick but Cabrera sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cabrera moves away from the strike by Fayden.
Fayden moves out of range of the body kick from Cabrera.

Cabrera bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Cabrera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Fayden uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cabrera.
It seemed like Fayden was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Cabrera closes the distance and pushes Fayden back into the cage.
Fayden jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Cabrera walks away with a smile on his face. Fayden gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Cabrera throws a hook but Fayden blocks it.
A big right from Cabrera misses.

Fayden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Fayden lands in his opponent's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cabrera has momentary wrist control but Fayden slips an elbow through the middle.

Fayden is nestled in close to Cabrera, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Jab, jab by Fayden - just one landing.
Dack Fayden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fayden throws out a leg kick but Cabrera moves out of range and Fayden only half commits.
Fayden takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fayden scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Armani Cabrera has been cut.
Fayden shoots in but no luck this time.

Cabrera needs to keep his hands up - Fayden had a free shot at his head there.

Fayden fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cabrera sprawls well initially but Fayden persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fayden is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cabrera sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Cabrera is trying to maintain the position but Fayden is very close to passing his half guard.
Fayden thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cabrera's head.

Cabrera is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fayden thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Fayden is keen to just control but Cabrera is a slippery customer.

Cabrera is controlling an arm, preventing Fayden from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Cabrera wants to control but Fayden is having none of it.

Cabrera reaches up to try and control the position but Fayden seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Cabrera rolls and tries to escape and now Fayden has his back!

Fayden is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Cabrera knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Cabrera for a finish.

Dack Fayden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fayden throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cabrera.
Fayden takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Fayden uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cabrera has time to react.

It looked like Cabrera was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Dack Fayden seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Cabrera throws a head kick but Fayden moves out of range.
Cabrera's corner calls for a 1-2. Cabrera obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Fayden shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Cabrera manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fayden is pushing down on Cabrera's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cabrera is fighting to maintain full guard but Fayden has managed to sneak the leg through.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Cabrera looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fayden unleashes a big counter combination but Cabrera bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Cabrera works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cabrera swings for the body but Fayden moves out of range.

Fayden got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cabrera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fayden has managed to get both his arms back between Cabrera's legs - danger averted.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

That was a close fourth round but I would say that Armani Cabrera will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Fayden shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cabrera pinned against the cage. Cabrera gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dack Fayden is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

It looked like Cabrera wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Armani Cabrera.
I think Fayden has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
