Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cesar Quinta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jebediah Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Quinta clinches up against the cage.
Quinta lands a shoulder strike.
Quinta on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Quinta gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Johnson regains guard.
Quinta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Quinta distracts Johnson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Quinta drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Quinta off! Quinta jumps back into Johnson's guard.
Johnson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Quinta wants to pass the guard but Johnson is keeping the position.
Johnson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Quinta postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Johnson is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Quinta works over Johnson's head and body with a nice combination.


It looks like Jebediah Johnson has been cut.
Johnson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Quinta half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Johnson slips a straight right by Quinta.
Quinta throws a head kick that Johnson semi-blocks.
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Quinta sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Johnson looks winded!
Quinta looks to land a combination but Johnson avoids it well.

Quinta rushes Johnson and presses him up against the cage.

Quinta pulls guard effortlessly.
Johnson throws an elbow that misses. Quinta uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Johnson's guard. Nice move by Quinta!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Quinta lands a couple of elbows.
Quinta advances to half guard.

Quinta is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Quinta.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quinta is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Quinta to get the leverage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Quinta is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Johnson sees it coming and defends easily.
Quinta is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quinta throws a head kick that half lands.
A head kick misses from Quinta.

Quinta moves into the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Johnson.
Johnson tries to pull guard but Quinta won't allow it.
Quinta is stalling here.
Johnson tries a body shot but Quinta blocks it.

Quinta lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Quinta is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Johnson can do to turn this around?

Johnson has momentary wrist control but Quinta slips an elbow through the middle.

Quinta chips away with some ground and pound.

Quinta drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Quinta as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Johnson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Quinta! Nice submission victory there!
