PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Kruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remulus Romus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kruiz comes to the cage accompanied by ZARILA KANDZE. Remulus Romus is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tom Kruiz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Remulus Romus!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruiz on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Romus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Romus wants it to stay on the feet.

A little jabbing left from Romus on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Romus leaves Kruiz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Kruiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Romus tries to avoid it but Kruiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Romus to the ground. Romus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Romus throws out a counter right but Kruiz avoids it with no problem.
Kruiz bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Romus thows a body kick. Kruiz tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Romus's corner calls for a 1-2. Romus obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Romus looks to throw the jab but Kruiz is out of range.
Kruiz tries to counter with a takedown but Romus is quick to defend against it.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kruiz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Romus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kruiz somewhat.

Romus throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Romus misses with a low kick as Kruiz jumps back.
Romus has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Romus fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kruiz on the side of the head.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Romus's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kruiz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Romus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kruiz's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kruiz's back!
Romus is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Remulus Romus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Romus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Romus grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Kruiz takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Romus cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Remulus Romus!
An out of breath Remulus Romus thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
